Support to help you prepare for, find and keep work

Inclusive Employment Australia is an Australian Government program designed to help people living with disability, injury or a health condition get job-ready, find work and stay employed.

When you register with APM for Inclusive Employment Australia in Darwin, you’ll be paired with a dedicated, local consultant who provides one-on-one support tailored to your strengths, goals and the type of job that suits you best.

The types of support available through Inclusive Employment Australia

Through Inclusive Employment Australia, you may be able to access a wide range of support, including:

  • help to understand and manage personal or health-related barriers to work
  • exploring career options that match your strengths and interests
  • guidance with job searching and submitting applications in your local area
  • support to create a strong resume and prepare for interviews
  • opportunities for training or short courses to build your skills and confidence

If you’re already employed, APM can also provide ongoing assistance to help you stay in work, such as:

  • arranging workplace adjustments or providing assistive technology
  • advice and training to help you settle into your role
  • continued support to make sure your job remains sustainable

Am I eligible for Inclusive Employment Australia in Darwin?

You may be eligible for Inclusive Employment Australia with APM if you:

  • live with disability, injury or a health condition that makes it harder to find or keep work
  • are aged between 14 and 67 and live in Australia
  • meet the legal working age in the Northern Territory
  • can work up to 30 hours a week, with the right support in place if needed
  • are not studying full-time (unless you qualify under school leaver eligibility)
  • are not already working the number of hours you’ve been assessed as capable of doing

APM supports people with a wide range of disabilities, injuries and health conditions.

You can join Inclusive Employment Australia in Darwin either through a referral from Centrelink or by registering directly with APM. 

If you’re talking with Centrelink, they’ll complete an employment assessment and may link you with an Inclusive Employment Australia provider. You can ask to be referred to APM so you get the right support from day one.

When you register with APM, your journey begins with a meeting with your local employment consultant. They’re dedicated to understanding your needs and working with you to find a job that’s the right fit.

This first conversation focuses on learning more about you and showing how Inclusive Employment Australia can help you achieve your goals. Your consultant will stay by your side as your main contact, guiding you through each step of the program.

At your first appointment, your consultant will:
